- Component #1 on the exploded diagram.
- This is by far the most important component in the entire clutch assembly!
- Improper clutch offset / spacing relative to the end of the crankshaft is by far the biggest contributor to premature crankshaft damage, wear, or poor engine operation.
- The chamfered edge of this clutch spacer MUST face inward (towards the chamfered edge on the crankshaft face, and towards the internal case of the engine. Otherwise, this washer will not do its job and spacing will be incorrect!
- **Point Karting recommends a clutch offset/ overhang beyond flush end of crank of 1/16" to 1/8".
